Im liking the Kuhmo XS on the EVO, great grip, OK turn in and nice ride. I run Star-Specs on my S2000, little better sidewall and close to the same grip, one thing I noticed is that the Kuhmo is about two pounds lighter per tire in the same size wich is a plus, all in all they are both a great choice and priced about the same.

For drag racing, you actually probably want to stay away from a good auto-x/track tire. You want something with a softer sidewall, and good auto-x/track tires have stiff sidewalls.
In all honesty, unless you're making tons of power (400+whp) where you're breaking the tires loose all the time, a decent all-season would probably work great for you. With AWD, grip off the launch won't be an issue and unless you're making crazy HP, you don't need the added grip of stickier tires. Plus, the all-season probably have softer sidewalls which may help on the launch. And they'll last a lot longer.
Just my opinion.

I run Yoko ES100's. So far my best 60' is 1.62. I got them mainly cause I needed a good summer tire that's also good in the rain. They are still a lot firmer than an all season tire. Best of both worlds IMO.

Good opinions here on both Star Specs and NT05
I just bought new tires for mine and i was debating between star specs and NT555 i went with the Nitto NT555 cause the price.... i put a 255/40r17 on my BBS wheels for my SE and they look so good... really wide for the stock wheel but fit perfect and they grab like none other. They handle tight corners well and they are great for some track days and the tread wear rating is 280 so they will last a long time as well. They were also a very good price... i paid about 650 for all 4, most of you probably cant do that good but close im guessing "I work for a dealership so its all wholesale"
If you want a few pictures of mine just let me know
