Comparatively some of the designs of Rotas are heavier then others. For the most part they are fairly light.

I have the DPT's for daily driving and they look awesome. Additionally, they're a fraction of the price of other comparative wheels. My buddy autox's with his DPT's and has had no issues. Buy em.

Nothing wrong here also... honestly, from the start they may have some troubles... but you gotta look beyond that though. In every problem there's a story waiting to be told.

Based on my past experience I would NEVER buy another set of Rotas. I've owned two sets of Rota wheels, both of which either fell apart or broke within a few years. I did not abuse them, did not hit any curbs, did not drive in the winter. I avoided pot holes at all costs and cleaned them with soap and water regularly.
The first set of Rotas to fall apart was 17x7.5 Rota Subzeros for a WRX. A few of the spokes literally broke in half on one of the wheels. I was able to get them replaced by Rota under warranty. I gid rid of them as soon as a replacement wheel was sent to me. I did not feel comfortable driving a wheel that literally broke on it's own.
The following year I had a change of heart and figured it was just a fluke thing for a wheel to break like that. I wanted to give Rota the benefit of the doubt. I purchased a set of 17x7.5 Rota Tarmac IIs for another WRX. The finish started peeling by the end of that first summer. By the end of the second summer the finish was cracking, peeling, and flaking off far worse than the year before. The next summer I got rid of the wheels because they were in such poor shape.

Wow....If I had those experiences I wouldn't mess with Rota's. I've all types of wheels on various cars (Civics, integra's, Volks, Advans and Rota's). Never had an issue.

I would say the failure rate of Rota's is probably no different then the average wheel maker.

I have a set of rota g-force's and one cracked on me, but that was only after i was forced to pick hitting an 18 wheeler around a blind curve, or hit a pot hole. I picked to fck up a ~$200 wheel rather than ~1X,XXX evo.

I would rather crack a $200 wheel rather than a $700 wheel. I know its easy to say, the cheaper one will fail faster, but on my daily driven evo, the wheels get beat on pretty good. so i see no need in spending an insane amount on wheels for an evo that gets driven as much as mine.

I had 15" rota slips on my old integra for almost 8 years without a problem. Sold the car with the wheels and I'm sure they're still fine. Been sporting the Rota Grids for 8 months without issue on the Evo. I'm pretty much sold on Rota.
