Wow in for pics. Were the rims used or did you buy new?

Any wheel can break, just because it's a "Volk" or "Forged" doesn't mean it is indestructible. In for pics though

What's funny is that I've never damaged a set of Rota Wheels (and I've hit some nasty potholes) however my set of Volk Racing CE28's (that I purchased new) bent after 3 months of street use

So I guess rotas aren't the only ones breaking/cracking??! I rather buy a set of rotas just invade this happens. A rota wheel will be only like 200 and no 3months wait to replace.

There's not been an actual story of a rota wheel cracking for a very long time...

Probably because people stopped posting about it. lol. Nah, I'm just bitter because I had a Rota break completely off the rim once with only the pressure of skidding sideways (no contact) and it totaled out my 8 month old STi.

I also cracked a 5Zigen on the track last year. I was doing about 86mph through an uphill right-hander with a constant 1.26g lateral so I understand that one at least.

Yeah I curbed one of my TE37s just messed the lip up(but I can't bear to look at the set and notice that all are perfectly fine but one)...and now. I'm going to have to wait like 3 months for my replacement wheel to come in......good thing I have a set of Evo 10 wheels lying around to use meanwhile......lol

no wheel repair shop will fix this - i called several and they stated when a spoke breaks its a liability to fix it and guarantee the work.

best i can do is buy a ce28n and get them all powdercoated to match. BUt i think the lip on an le28n is machined differently from a ce28n right?

That was my recommended course of action for you as well. The lip is the same, the only difference is the finish Rays leaves on it before leaving the factory. Best to you in the completion of this endeavor good sir.

If you had the misfortune of having them stolen you could file a claim against your insurance.

Just saying.
