a very interesting crack to be sure. and now i'm in agreement with you, it was most likely a manufacturing flaw.

Will it be covered or replaced by Volk? Probably not.

 

My buddy cracked his VOLK Forged CE28N rim awhile back and did not receive a replacement from VOLK

hahahahahaha... a volk cracks and people still need to crap talk rotas in a thread ABOUT a volk cracking.... its amazing! "sorry your volk cracked! but rotas! man rotas are junk!" "rotas arent quality at all" blah blah blah! if rotas were such crappy wheels, and had all these issues, they wouldnt be in business still! they ARE in business, because they make GOOD (not great) wheels at a great price! and all you rota haters saying they crack alot..where are all the pics??????? trust me, when wheels break, people take pics and post them! and if they did it alot, like all of you say, then there would be several pics! one isnt proof! i have pics of cracked advans, volks, bbs, wedsport, enkie..etc... it happens! but it doesnt mean they are junk! ALOT of professional race teams have been running rotas with great sucess! so tell me they arent strong! or not "quality wheels" because you garage racers would know over profesionnal race teams! i think not! but you all "know of a friend, whos friend cracked a rota"

as for the OP... sorry i went on that rant.. sucks about the wheel... id be heartbroken if one of my volk gr-c's cracked.. it would be impossible to find just 1 replacement

This thread is full of LOLZ. I'd rock Rotas any day and have Volks hell I'd even trade out for Rotas and cash.

 

honestly for DDing and even for tracking Rotas are fine. It's just the old reputation that they carry. There are a couple teams that track with Rotas with great results. LIC Motorsports uses Rotas.

This is a first i've heard of a Volk failing, and not even by much. Rota on the other hand, well.... yeah i wouldn't go that route.

 

Oh man....just a week or so ago someone cracked a RGII and everyone was flaming Advan for cast wheels. Now I would like to see what those haters have to say about this thread.
