Nitto NT01 vs BFGoodrich g-Force

Im tired of having absolutly no traction on the street untill 4th and Im only round 400wtq and will be upgrading soon to a hta3794 and will be in the 600wtq range. Obviously Im gonna run slicks at the track but I want some traction outside of the track. Ive been looking into these to tires as a option to put on some 17"x9" wheels, havnt choosen a wheel yet but all the ones Im looking at are 17"x9". I saw a couple reviews but they where all auto cross related nothing aout how these tires grip on the street. Any help is apperiated

First the two tires you are compairing aren't even in the same league. It's like compairing a Honda Civic SI and an Evo. Second, I just posted a very in depth review of the best of the best street tires. And the NT01 isn't a street tire. It's a street legal tire, but you would get at most 3-4,000mi out of it. So if you are using a good synthetic motor oil you would be changing tires more often than oil.

Just look at my post.

Yeah, the NT01 is a r-comp. I run them on the track/AX. I doubt you would even get 3k out of them. After 6 events they are about 60% life. Guessing 10-12 events before I replace.

So if you have no traction now, why do you want more power? There is a point were its too much.

Even a dry extreme summer will not help you too much, but it will be better than other types of tires. In there you have the Z1*, NT05, AD08, RE11, etc.

I have slicks for the track where I can use the power. I also have summer and winter tires on seprate rims. Im looking for a tire for the weekend to play on, as I dont want to drive around on slicks. Thats why I was looking at drag radials instead on regluar street tires.

I was reffering to the g-Force drag radials btw.

Still NT01 is a track tire. You cannot compare the two to each other.

DR will not handle great, but will help with off the line bite (sidewall differences).

R-Comps pick up a lot of road debris. You will sandblast the side of your car if you DD on them.

nto5 is a great tire. my buddy has them on his evo x and the grip is insane. you shouldn't have any problems with traction once you get the nto5's

The BFG would deflect under load better and create a flatter footprint on the ground for launch due to its softer sidewalls. If using for drag they would be the better option.
