18x9.5 +20 or +15 - trying for no spacers
So I'm looking into buying either mb battles that have +15 or Rota Grids that have +20. going to have a smaller tire and going to roll the fenders.. however I'm trying to not run spacers and some ppl say that you dont need spacers with the +20 and some say you need a 3mm spacer to clear the break calipers. been looking in fitment section for a while.. lol. need to clear things up quick

You're going to need to ROLL THE CRAP out of your quarters. Chances are you're going to buckle your quarter in the process and it will look like crap. search Kaymin Orange Evo.
If you run a 225 size tire you probably won't rub...but then again why run a 9.5" wheel if you're going to put a narrower than stock tire on the car?

Rolling the fenders isn't bad. To fit +15 18x9.5's in the rear you need to ROLL AND PULL the rears.
I've rolled my car F&R... I run 265's on 18x9.5's NO problem. you can also run 285 R comps with a BFH and a grinder.
I say look for a +34 offset or so...and use spacers to make the front wheels clear the calipers.
Ever notice the most common wheel in 18x9.5 is RPF1's or NT03s? its because they fit well.

+1 I had someone roll my fenders F&R near flat and I put some 18X9.5 +15 mb battles on as well and it rubbed like hell in rear(my car is not retard low either)and it destroyed my front fender liner as well
Running something like a 245 or even a 255 on an 18x9.5 goes against my understanding of running such a wheel, since my stock BBS run 255s. If the offset of your wheels is detrimental to the performance of your EVO, it seems counterintuitive to me to run such a set up. I would just rock a Lexus GS400 or something if I wanted to get all crazy with my wheels but to mess with the handling of an EVO seems problematic.
I know this has been discussed before but I wonder what some of the people who make a living setting up EVOs right have to say about this.
if it will rob an ounce of handling from my EVO, I'll personally go with something less aggressive.
