Question Bottoming Out

I have a 2005 evo 8 that just got lowered 1 inch with Megan Racing springs and now if i have more than 2 people in the car the rear tires rub. Any suggestions besides raising it back up? It has stock suspension besides the springs so that could be part of the problem. any suggestions on what shocks/struts i should get? not coilovers (out of price range)

maybe you should try a different spring one that is stiffer then what you have? with maybe bilstein shocks?

What size tires? You could add some camber back there.

Thats a silly comment.

Springs provide a force that is basically linear with displacement

Shocks provide a force that is basically linear with velocity

Why would changing the damping force make any difference here.

Where do the tires rub? Quarter panel lip or somewhere else? You may need to roll the metal, add or subtract some camber depending on where it's rubbing.

Swift springs don't drop the rear as much as some others.

Tire rub is the issue really, not the springs. Even if you took the weight out and went back to stock springs your tires would still rub when the rear bottoms out.

Just mess with spacers, fender rolling, and adjusting camber to keep the tires from rubbing.

From: somewhere testing various tires, brakes, and suspensions.
I thought they stopped making those springs. They were uber low front and rear -2 front and -1.9 rear. That is a lot of rear lowering.

Routes: add rear camber, negative is tire wear and handling. Change tire size, cost is tires. Change springs to a different set, cost of springs and alignment.
