dws has gottin' me through the winter season in Missouri... had a good sized snow storm last week.. 6-8 inches and had zero problems.. glad I didn't get snow tires. I had the advans on with below freezing temps, no snow, and the tires were hard as a rock.. the dws has been great from zero degrees to 40 F

+1 dull and vague... Had mine installed last week. Would never want to push them hard.
Worked well in rain/snow and that was my intention
Looks like I'll be looking for rims and tires for Spring /Summer.

Im just looked for a decent priced tire for my stock evo9 enkei wheels that have good grip. I just want something that is good compared to the sock advan tires.. but not pay an arm and leg for.

Looking for tires that I can drive on all year, that won't suck on dry roads & 1/4 mile events. How would the DWS's do for a weekend driver EVO 8 (Missouri) with a few 1/4 mile drag events per year? No auto X and no road course. If it helps, the only tires that I have had on this EVO are TOYO PROXES 4 (all season) and they seem like a good tire to me. Several 1.7 seconds to 60 feet with an inexperience driver.
I just put a set of DWS's on my 330i ZHP BMW and they are awesome in the snow, but I haven't driven them on dry hot pavement yet.

Sorry to bring back an old thread, but for everyone who has the contis what size is everyone getting them in. I was looking into picking up a set and was considering going a larger tire. Just wondering if anyone has done this? I was planning on getting to 245x40x17 for the stock IX bbs. Any advice?

If I got a thicker tire though, would the ride be any more forgiving, I just thought that a thicker tire would create a less harsh ride on bumpy roads? Also I wanted the tire to fill in the wheel well a bit better since I'm still on stock suspension.
