Aboout how long do MR Bilsteins last on lowered springs?

I know this is all dependant upon how low they go, but I have some very mild drop springs and I'm curious how detrimental the springs are to the mr shocks if I were to mount them, and how much of a decreased life expectancy would I have because of the springs.

I might just keep it at stock height, thus my question on durability

Any Pics?

Would you put the stock springs back on if you could?

Thanks

There are a couple of factors that come into play here such as how much they drop the car, the spring rates, and the type of roads which the car is being driven on.

All it takes is one good pothole to blow a strut. This can even happen on stock springs so pay attention to what you are driving on.

if you dont race, drive it like you stole it in the corners(or over crap roads) and dont install tein springs like a ricer hypothetically they'll last 100k+ easily.

I've wondered the same thing, but I UAE well over 40k miles on my OEM MR Bilsteins with GT Worx springs without any issue at all. I'm thinking about going in and retightening everything in the spring/stet area before I go for my next alignment in the spring. I'm at ~73k now.

I have the gt worx, though I wanted to make sure they werent going to blow the mr springs after 20k, before installing them.

plus hows the ride?

Have you done any research on these springs at all? Have you read of anyone at all with blown shocks/struts because of these springs?

They were designed specifically for the MR Bilsteins. I've had them on the car roughly ~45k miles driving everywhere and anywhere you can think of and they're still great.

+1 on the Teins...I found out the hard way...even though I went with the H-techs which are not as low as the S and a bit softer...I got about 15K before my front bilsteins took a crap.

gtworx seem to be the best for the stock bilsteins

their customer service is beyond great, i ordered a set 12/23 and they showed up on my door today 12/24 without paying any extra for shipping or anything

I have a set of swift springs with Bilsteins and the ride is rough along small bumps and corners (I love the look and feel on cornering though!). During the winter and when the weather gets extremely cold be prepared for the infamous suspension clunks with any lowered suspension set up on an EVO though. Most of the time the clunk/noise goes away after driving and warming up the fluids/grease, but from what I hear it never really goes away.

Good luck!
