Hi,
I have a couple questions concerning some suspension setups.
First off, I have an 03 Evo 8 (non MR) still on stock struts/springs, riding on 18x9.5 +30 Rota P45r's, wrapped in 255/35/18 Dunlop Direzza Star Spec Z1's, running an 8mm spacer on the front wheels. I have been running this setup for almost a year and a half now.
I noticed when I put the wheel/tire setup on, that the back had less gap than the front with stock suspension, and the front still has the hideous gap.
Currently I have NO rubbing issues, UNLESS I have people in the back seat, or a trunk full of luggage, and I hit a bump. The front only rubs the very inside of the lower ground effect pieces at full lock of the steering wheel.
My question is what suspension setup am I able to run on this car to get rid of the awful gap in my front fender-well?
I was wondering if maybe it would be possible to only lower the front of the car with some springs, and leave the back alone, as I don't want to roll the rear fenders and risk cracking the paint, or buckling the quarters. Or will I be forced to do springs on all 4 corners, and have to roll the rear fenders?
The car never see's any track duty, just street duty, and is rarely driven, but when I do drive it, I take it on long vacations, or just a nice weather drive.
If that is not possible, what do you guys suggest? I thought I would be able to live with the gap in the front, but I can't stand it any longer. Please shed some light in my direction.
Thanks,
Scott

As to my previous question. I found out that a dealer ship here had these in stock, so i called them up and they offered to put them on to see what bronze would look like on graphite grey. In reality i thought i was gonna look like garbage but being right there and seeing it I was more than impressed. The rims are Volk TE37 18x9.5 with a +22 offset, and the tires are 265/35/18. My car is on DMS coilovers and slammed to the ground on the stock enkei rims where they practically sit inside the wheel well so i thought i was going to have to either raise the car or roll the fenders beyond recognition. Fortunetlly once they were on and we lowered the car they fit perfectly and cleared everything. So by the looks of it I wont need fender rolling or lifting my car and my suspension is hard enough that i might be able to lower it a little more and avoid rubbing over bumps. Let me know what you guys think, still wondering what it would look like with matte black as these were the only ones they had in stock.

Be sure to check the bolt pattern because some older Subies had a 5x100 setup (2003-04?)

The wheels might fit with no spacers in back, but I would imagine your handling will be pretty bad with no spacers out back. It will probably have a lot of understeer and if you try to dial it our with springs or sways I'm guessing the snap oversteer will be a nightmare to deal with.

I see a lot of questions about the XXR 521 18x10 +25 setup, I have been reading that I will either need a 20mm spacer or 25. But unsure of which, also , does that require extended lug studs? Not very tire/wheel fitment savy and need some help.
Thanks
Thanks

extended studs would be recommended for any low offset wheel, Especially once you add a 20mm spacer. It really all depends on the thickness and it's design. It's hard to tell without physically putting the wheel on or having all the measurements. I would say wait for someone with experience or order the wheels and try em out

06 IX MR, swift spec-r springs, looking to get the Enkei Raijin 18x8.5, will 255/40/18 super sports fit fine without rubbing? Or should I go with 245/40/18? Thanks.

What would it take to fit 18x10 +18 on an Evo 8 stock body? and What would be the best tire size to run. Size is probably going to be DD wheels but I might try 18x9.5 +26 would either give it an Aggressive look? I'm not sure which ones To invest in or best tire size to fit..... I have 18x9 +34 Work VS-XX wrapped in 245/45/18 on right now car is sitting on Tein Mono flex Coil's....
