^^^My opinion only
The 245/45/17 is a large tire. (For reference, I run the 275/40/17. Circumference's are almost identical)
If you run the +25 you will need rear fender treatment. (roll & maybe a pull & the other tricks used). This wheel will certainly look more aggressive
The +35 will fit, possibly w/out a roll

Gonna be running a 245/40/18 Hankook Ventus V12 and the wheels I'm looking at, NOT out yet, are similar to the XXR 521 but are instead the XXR 531 that will be available sometime early this year. I'm looking at the 18x9.5. It comes in a +20 and a +35.
Assuming since the designs are similar I would think that a +20 on these would need a spacer up front for sure and not the rear. I will be rolling fenders if need be not worried about that so much. I'm on Bilstein struts and swift springs FYI

check out the thread below for some additional info. the 531 wheel has the same specs as the 527 and 530 but the dish looks to be a little less concave and may have caliper clearnace issues up front. the guys at NL motoring are familiar with our setup, give them a call and they should be able to tell you. the 527 and 530 need no spacers in either the 8.5 or 9.5 width but you HAVE to use the +20 offset, the +35 offset is way way off. and you are better off going with 255/35, it clears the rear fender better.
if you are local to them you can always try one wheel on the car to see how it clears the caliper.

To me the 531 I linked is more similar to the 521 right? Not the 530 or 527 but I could be wrong. The face and concave on the 531 and 521 looks exactly the same.
People who run the 18x10 +25 XXR 521 run a 25mm spacer up front to clear the calipers and none in the rear. My MAIN QUESTION is with the +20 in the 18x9.5 XXR 531 will I need a 20mm spacer up front? I assume that back will be fine. I'm gonna buy this setup regardless when released and make it fit. I assume those size tires and wheels will not be a problem

I just got the homologation for 265/35 R18 on my trackday Evo8 ;-)
What is the most beautiful and performing set of wheels?
The choice is killing me, am currently looking at Volk CE28N's, TE37SL's or RE30's, all in 9,5J. Not sure of the ET yet, is 35 the best option with rolled fenders in the back?
Any ideas?
Maybe the Advan RS in 9J R18 +29...

^^^You are already far ahead of most here in the US regarding proper offset
Most new guys are attempting to push the offset as low as possible w/out properly considering fitment
I personally run 2 different sets of wheels: ADVAN RGII 17x9 +29 & a no-name street set-up at 17x9.5 +30. I run a 275/40 tyre on both
The +35 would be your best choice if you are not comfortable w/ rear fender work. I personally like to push the offset just a bit so I would choose the lower +29. The +29 w/a nice 255/35 or a 265/35 would require some rear fender work. You will likely experience some front fender liner rub at full lock, depending on your suspension set-up

^if its a track Evo, as he says, then pushing offset is second to getting the widest tire possible. Offset is all for looks anyway. I say stick with mid to high 30's if there are plans to increase tire size in the future. +29 is the lowest offset I will go.
Local autox guy runs 18x10 +38, 285.30.18 Hoosiers. Don't need to push offset to look good and still perform.

Thank you both for the advice!
I am currently on Ohlins R&T suspension, that should help minimising the rubbing issues, if there are any on the stock setup spring at all...

Won't this setup rub under full lock?
Edit: have seen an Evo with OZ Racing Ultraleggera 9J R18 ET35, this could be my option, as it's very easy for me to get them here, and I think they look really good!
