Hello. The Koyas look almost identical to the Rota P45R.

I would steer clear of this mismatch. The +42.5 is .18" closer to the strut than the stock +38 offset. Unlikely the wheel would even fit over the caliper w/out using spacers.
The rear wheel spec looks OK which you could load a 255/35/18 or with some fender work could go bigger or even try a 40 series. Some guys run mismatched offsets which is OK but rotating is usually is an issue. Running mismatched wheel widths is frowned upon here on EVOM

Personally not familiar w/the EVO7 but likely the fender wells must be somewhat similar or have less clearance than the 8/9. The guys w/the most experience w/the less than 8 model hang out on the MLR forum (see link in sig)

Just my opinion

Hmm okay just wondering is it frowned upon for a reason or is it just because a lot of ****ty Hondas do it with ridiculous camber settings? I kinda just jumped the gun and bought them not realising the rears were 9.5 being a noob and I don't really wanna sell them off because they look so nice.

I seen loads of evos that have different wheel widths will it kill my handling? Thanks guys I appreciate the advice!!!

You dont see many different wheel widths here on EVOM! Few run different offsets but not many

Hey, Im no drivetrain engineer but running different wheel widths changes the tire stretch & may affect grip between the front & rear wheels. Just dont think its a good idea on an AWD vehicle. Run it by a few more guys & get their opinion

Anyway, not only do you have an offset difference please dont confuse the set-up by running different wheel widths. Not worth it IMO

Actually, might as well post here.

For the front OEM struts, will 18x9.5 +35 clear with 255/35's? 265/35's?
If spacers are needed, what is recommended?
Clearing Brembo's will not be an issue for these wheels.

Trying to answer a question for a potential buyer, but I haven't had OEM struts in a long time. Thanks in advance!

what would be the best wheel and tyre size for optimum performance
and what do you guys think of this
http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/showthread.php?t=481096
having the wheel 1 inch wider at the front to square up the sidewall

thanks guys

Its an interesting idea but have not read any real articles on running that set-up

Personally wouldnt touch it. Would rather keep all things equal so at the very least you can rotate

Hey Ash

You have some work ahead of you. +22 is very aggressive & rear fender work will be mandatory.
Really depends on how much work you want to do to the rears. Maybe a 245/40 would be best
Personally not familiar w/the EVO6 wheel arches. I would ask the guys on the MLR forum. See link in my Sig

I just pulled the trigger on a set of XXR 531 18x8.5 +20, couldn't find any info on fitment on my stock suspension Evo8, and the guys at NL said they didn't have confirmed fitments either.

Guess i'll be the guinea pig unless someone speaks up before then!

I think I have mentioned the specs needed on the 527, 530 and 531 on about 10 threads.

you got the right wheels, same size as mine. NO spacers needed. make sure to run 35 series tires or else it will rub the front fender mud guards.

255s easily clear the front without any issues. 255s clear the rear with light rolling.

I've seen your posts, but the 531s didn't seem to have the same concave as the others mentioned so I wasn't clear on whether they actually fit. What model do you have Art?
