Has anyone run Varrstoen ES3's in 18x10.5 +30, I'm looking to pick up a set with new 245/40 tires on a deal but not sure if I'm going to need spacers to clear the suspension, or possible the brembos. They will be going on an 8
Not to worried about the fenders I'm rolling and pulling them and possible makings a (daves style fender kit)

Heres one thread where you might gain some insight on fitting 10.5's

The +18 is a real difficult offset to fit in the rear & the 10" wheel width makes that even tougher
Even running a stretched 255/35 will be super difficult. If you rolled & pulled the rears I dont think you would achieve full suspension stroke w/out fender contact (This is based on running stockish rear camber & full suspension stroke)
Read this thread & you will see some of the wide fitments & the offsets used

anyone have experience getting a Rota Slipstream to bolt on without spacers? I have wilwood brakes up front, and R/T rear trailing arms in back. Generally, a lot of room, but I really want a 16x8 (willing to settle on 16x7 probably) that can just swap out without spacers/adapters.
FWIW, I did search this thread, but got a million hits, and deployed internet is slow as *****.

Had the offset been between 30-35 how would fitment be?
Does a same sized wheel with a very different offset change the overall look?
What is the proper tire without any stretching for a 10 inch wide rim?
Is it possible to fit a 40 profile tire on a wide 18 inch rim and have it fit?
The reason I ask is because I live in the heart of NY. ****ty roads and driving style have me wanting to avoid any tire stretch and a thicker profile for the rough roads.
Appreciate the input.

Yes, the different offset affects the look of the spokes. Thats why all of us like that concave spoke design which is usually found on the lower offset wheels
Sure, a lot of guys run the 40 series tire but it just makes fitment a bit tougher on the 18" wheel, needing the fender roll & rear bumper bolt relocate
If you consider a 17" wheel then the 40 series is our std profile (thats all I run)

To keep rolling diameter near to stock,235/40/18 or 265/35/18 is the nearest possible to the stock 25.3" diameter

You need to consider a rear spacer of maybe 10mm which gives you an effective offset of +35 or if you want more poke, use a 15mm spacer
I ran the following no.s on the calc. 17x9 +30 (run the 9" if you can. Better suited for the wide rubber)(15mm spacer) running a 255/40/17 (better tire spec then the 245/45)
You will need a roll & a light pull. Or if you run the 10mm spacer, a roll is all you need
You will have to test fit the wheels up front to determine the caliper clearance. Not sure what to use up front

Would rather see you pick a wheel that was more EVO spec'd but most RPF1's dont fit w/out using spacers

So 17x9 with 10mm spacers ill be good?
