ssr gtv02 17x9 +38 fit with a 3mm spacer. Without the spacer, the inside edge (closest to the hub) of the front calipers are touching the spokes. With the spacer there is about 2mm of clearance. I have 255/40/17 rs3v2s on the wheel.

Quick fitment question:

Evo IX on stock wheels. Lowered on Swift Sport springs. 235/55/17 Pirelli P Zero Nero tires. Note the higher sidewall. Will they rub? I got them for a helluva deal so if they won't fit I can probably resell.

Thats a very large tire in circumference. Calculator shows a -6.8% speedo error. Certainly will not rub due to offset issues but you may get some well rub on a high compression bump

Probably Ok to use temporarily but a better tire size, closer to the stock circumference would be better

Alright, I have acquired some Enkei RPF1s in 18x9.5 +37 ..... Now I'm not sure what will fit for tires.

I know I need +20mm spacers in the front and none in the rear.

Question is.... WILL I need fender work with 255/35r18s?
Or should I run something a little smaller?

Car is on Tein springs so about 1.5" lower I would estimate.

Any help would be appreciated

Running stock rear camber you will likely be Ok w/no work but running the 9.5" wheel is going to be close (possible light roll needed). A 245 is the narrowest tire recommended per my chart

Running the large 20mm spacer up front sets the effective offset at +17 which will work but the front fender extender kit may be needed (+17 is a very aggressive offset)

Hey!
Quick question 03 evo, will 17x9 +22 te37s fit without spacers? It seems like they do, no one mentions they need them, just want to confirm.
Thanks!

On the average, Volks are Brembo friendly, especially at the lower offsets. Check this thread & see if you can find that spec

BTW, +22 is very aggressive & requires rear fender modifications

I dont mind fender mod. I just dont want to run spacers at all. I saw a few with that spec on that thread but none said if they ran spacers or not. Which is why im think i will be okay, I just want to make sure before I dump $2000 on wheels. lol especially since the set I just got werent the offset I was told and dont fit.

One of our members PM'd me & asked a question regarding the bumper bolt re-locate. Heres a couple of pics that should take away the mystery of this simple procedure

How much fender work is needed to run RPF1 18X9.5 +38 on Tein Flex Coilovers? Or what offset would I need to avoid spacers and fender work? Also tire size?

Or what would you recommend for a DD with occasional track use that will not need spacers or fender rolling? I am looking for a medium where it'll still perform well on the track but would not require me to do any fender mods. I would prefer 18s but 17's would be ok.

Thanks,

Std tire size would be 255 or 265/35 & no rear fender work needed. I havent studied up on the RPF1's in a while, but If I remember correctly you can run those up front w/the 20mm spacer

The offsets that work best w/the EVO rear well are around +32 to +38. At +32, depending on tire size you will likely need rear fender rolling at the min. I track & DD 17's so Im a bit partial to them. 18's track well & the wheel generally looks better on the EVO than 17's

Perfect, exactly what I was looking for.

So I think I'll go with the 18x9.5 +38 with 255/40/18.

Thanks man.

Thank you my good man! The images are very helpful and also give clear indication of how far back it needs to be trimmed.
