Thats a nice wheel that is somewhat EVO friendly

The 18 x 9 is a perfect fit but the +25 will require some rear fender work. A rear roll, fender pull & the bumper bolt re-locate would be needed to fully clear

This is based on running no more than -1.8 degrees of rear camber

The 40 series tire gives the 18" tire a real meaty look but is making this fit just a bit tougher than running the 35 series (possibly can avoid the bumper bolt relocate using the 35 series)

This is a zero rub recommendation

Hi Guys, Im planning on getting 18X8.5 TE37s for evo 9 and tire size is 235/40/18.
what will be the best offset +25 or +30 ? Im worried about caliper clearance and dont want wheels to pop out too much as well.
exact fitment im looking for

The +25 is fairly moderate & will not require too much work due to mild 8.5 wheel width. A flat rear roll will likely get you by, running stock camber

The +30 will likely need a light rear roll running stock camber

You didnt have to post up again but thanks for adding your question here

If you were planning on a wider wheel (i.e. 9 to 9.5") the +25 gets tougher to fit w/out doing some aggressive rear fender work

Im in the search of a set of wheels that doesn't require any body modifications and is 9" wide.Any ideas for me? i appreciate your help. Also wondering about your rg 2. I would love to purchase a set of gram light 57dr with no fuss fitting in 9" also running a 245 tire

Wheels that are in the range of 18x9 /17x9 +35-38 will be your best bet. My Advan RGII are 17x9 +29 but with that offset rear fender work was needed, especially due to the wide 275's I was running.

Unless you just want to try the stock EVO10 wheel (18x8.5 +38). I ran that wheel w/a 255/35 tire w/no roll & perfect fit

A wheel that Ive always liked but never tried is the 5zigen FN01 17x9 +35

Heres a thread w/some pics. Keep in mind, a rear roll will likely be needed depending on tire size

https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/ev...-fn01rc-s.html

Do some searching in the wheel threads to try and narrow your search. If you come up w/other ideas, let me know & I will run them through the calculator

Does anyone know if 18x9 with a 36 offset will clear the brembos on an Evo X? Also they are on 255/40/18 so will I need to roll the fenders or am I still okay? Sorry guys I don't know tires but any help would be great!

Would offer some help but not well versed enough w/the X to comment. You should post up there for the best round of views & advice (BTW, The 18x9 +36 is a very mild size & offset especially w/the X so a rear roll may not be needed. The X has a bit more rear well room than our 7,8 or 9's)

Make sure you tell those guys which wheel youre looking w/the +36. They all have diff spoke & hub designs which dictates caliper clearance

Okay i have narrowed it down to wedsport tc105n in 17x9.These wheels are much lighter than my setup now(MR BBS on direzza star spec 245s).I would really like to run 9" wide wheels so if you know of any other wheels that are light please let me know. As far as homework i have found this

http://www.mitsustyle.com/forums/showthread.php?t=30380 17x9 +35 3mm spacer is a must to clear brembos

https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/ev...x9-35-a-2.html 17x9.5 +32 no spacer in front but roll required?

https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/ev...x9-35-a-2.html 17x8.5 +32 no modifications required (last resort)

https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/ev...x9-35-a-3.html another x9 with 35 offset but running 255s. Seems that with that mild drop i can run 255s if i decided to be okay with the spacer

On the track I run the Advan RGII 17x9 +29 (16.9#'s) FYI (no spacer). I run the 275/40 which required a lot of rear fender work to fit correctly. The 5Zigen FN01R is avail in a 17x9 +35 w/no spacer required. Heres one of our EVO owners w/that set-up. Scroll down to mid-page for his pics
http://spbcar.ru/news/en/category/rr...e-day/?page=10

Well, you have narrowed your choices to a very doable size & offset. Your tire choice will certainly play into the fit.
A 255/40 is the min I would recommend. A rear roll will be needed to fully clear, running in- spec, track type, camber. Front fitment will be OK w/no mods needed with the +32 - +35. You may get some minor liner rub at lock positions but that issue will resolve itself w/liner burn through or heat gun work

16"x8" +42mm offset?

Will Volk TE-37 16"x8" +42mm offset and 255/50/16 M/T DR's fit on an Evo 8 with Wilwood small drag brake conversion? Has anyone ran this combination?

If you post up your question in the Drag forum, you will get a much wider, knowledgeable audience

Here: https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/drag-racing-16/

Heres a good thread to review before posting:

18x9 mustang wheels on a evo8

Iv come across a really good deal on a set of mustang wheels. Theyre 18x9 with a +30mm offset.i think theyd fit with the right tire, spacer and maybe a fender roll. I figured id ask if theyd fit on here before i made the 3 hour trip to pick them up

Note: I ran the +30 wheel noting the following:

Running a 255/35 tire you will need a rear roll at the minimum (try a 3/4 roll of the fender to start. If that is not enough, go for a full flat roll) . The front fitment will likely require a spacer to fit over the calipers.

Wheels specs with big brake kit for Evo 9?

Hi...

Am going for d2 356 big break kit ( front & rear ) for my Evo 9 with light Wight center bell.
here is the sizes:

D: 147

Rear disk : 356*32 mm
Rear calliper:-
W: 260 mm
H: 78 mm

I have been told by d2 that I should go for 18" or above wheel size but I don't know the perfect specs of the wheels am planing to go for ?

The wheels am planing to go for are:
1) Volk ze40
2) Enkei rpf1
3) xxr 527

Just picked up a set of Rota Grids:
18x9.5 +20
I'm on stock suspension, from what I've found, it looks like 245/40 tire size works best. Can I go to 255/40 without rub?

05 evo 8
