You have to roll the rears to get most aggressive tires & wheels to fit correctly

The rears is where the work needs to be done. Rear fender roll & bumper bolt relocate. Rear fender pull will be needed for a no rub fit. This is based on running a less than 2 degree rear camber setting. It is very doable & a similar layout to what I run
Any more camber, & this setup would be just for show
Any other questions let me know

Awesome, im torn between running front spacers and rear fender work. Would a 8.5 in the same offset be better with the same tire spec? I dont mind rolling and bumper bolt but definitely no pull or show camber lol. Im at about 1.5 degree in the rear and will not go further. Thanks! Also this is on a Evo ix

Heres is an example of the kind of fit we are looking for. If you can remove the rear strut & disconnect the swaybar & get the wheel to float into the well w/zero contact then you have achieved true clearance

Thanks a lot for the fast replies, the wheels are going to be ordered soon and my options are 18×9.5+22 or 18x9.5+30 (will need spacers up front. I read an old post by Rav-spec stating that evo8/9use +20 with just a roll. Should I go smaller on the tire? 245/35/18? Thanks again, learning this as I go!

Be careful when reading other opinions on fit. Some guys will raise the rear ride height & note all is clear. They dont mention they rub when they carry passengers or a hard compression bump
+22 is very aggressive & on my rev limiter of an offset that is doable. Im more track fit oriented & so are most guys on this side of the forum. The Stance thread has certainly explored many show fits
Happy to offer my opinion. This thread has been slow of late
Peace, Joe

Couldnt find anyone noting the +30 offset. Most threads show the aggressive & very tough to fit +20 / +22
Thread search here:

BTW, I run the Rota P45R 17x9.5+30 w/no spacer

thanks for that. also tried the search before but found nothing specific for me
I guess I'll just try and fit them to know since the rims and tires are all on hand.

I'm wanting to get either the rota grid (18x9.5 +38) or the rpf1 (18x9.5 +38). I am on Bilstein HDs and not coils; I also have swift sports. I was thinking of running 265/35/18 with these wheels. Did some searching first on the forum and found a post from wheelsdude saying that the rota in that size does not clear the caliper in the front and requires extensive fender mods, spacers, and camber. Which is weird because I contacted them directly and was told that it would clear and fit with a 255/35/18 with some rolling in the front.
Did some searching around for the rpf1 in the same size with the same size tire and found that it should fit with some minor rolling and no spacers.
Next I put the sizes in the calculator and it looks like they fit. I just want to know can I fit these in those sizes in these wheels? If not what do I need to fit them?
I don't want to buy some coils just to fit tires and I am willing to get rolled but I don't want to have to do all kinds of fender mods to fit a wheel/tire.

^^^Ran your no.s on my calculator
Its going to be close (the 9.5" width makes it a bit tougher but the +38 helps), but a nice tight rear fender roll should be OK w/out having to pull the rear fender
Fronts will be OK, but expect some light liner rub at lock positions. You can leave the liner as-is & let the tire burn through Or heat gun the liner to make clearance
Any other questions, let me know
