Do I need spacer on my IX if I am running Work Emotion Cr-kai 17x8 + 32 offset. The auto shop guy told me I need spacer, but the guy who sold me the wheels said no. So I am a bit confused now...someone plz help.

Hi,
I'll start. Please let me know if anything needs to be changed or edit it for me.
Wheel: Enkei RS-5
Size/offset: 17x7 5-100/114 40
Price: ~140$/wheel from Discount Tire
These are a 5 spoke design. I was surprised that a 17x7 wheel fits, but it does. Clears calipers by a mm or so. I drove around with the windows down to make sure it wasn't rubbing when turning or braking.
I'll add some weight info as well. On my bathroom digital scale, the stock Enkeis with ~60% worn advans and lots of brake dust weighed 44 lbs (no lug nuts). The Enkei RS-5 with brand new 235 45 17 Falken Z1-EX all seasons weighed 43 lbs.
Here is a pic on my car:

Per jbrennan's post here is more info:
Hubcentric rings were required and provided by DiscountTire in my case. Also provided were gorilla lug nuts.
</edit>
Take care,

Thanks for the input, I got Enkei RS 5 17X7 with the Dunlop SP Winter Sport 205 50 17s. The wheels just fit over the calipers with no hint of rubbing. I think Enkei RS 6 and CDR 9 wheels would also fit...

Well if you want bling, why do they need to be wide?
If you don't care about performance, just do a 19x8.5 +30mm with a 235/35/19
If you really want to get serious, I can get you a great deal on some light-up windshield squirters or maybe some gold teeth?
