Just need to know what the offset is on the 16x7 Slipstreams?

Thanks for the quick response, I believe they are +40,

Ok, Well the 20mm spacer in the rear converts the Slipstreams to a +20. Heres the overlay between what I run & your proposed set-up

Looks to me like a tight rear fender roll is needed as well as possibly relocating the rear bumper bolt. Note: you are close to needing a rear fender pull as well.

The clearance is certainly not with the wheel but w/the tire as you can see in the overlay
Not sure how low your EvO sits, but if its squatting hard during a launch, for sure, you will need clearance between the tire & the the rear fender

With the 22mm spacer up front that changes your Slipstream offset to +18 which looks OK w/no fender rolling needed (rolling the fronts is very tough due to the alum fender) You will likely have some front liner rub depending on ride height

Please double check these American tire size conversions to metric before making your final decision

Also, I would think there are other drag EvO owners running this set-up?

Your help is greatly appreciated as I will need to make my decision within 2 days in order to confirm having them here before the shootout.
If i understand this correctly, there is no real mechanical need for the rear spacer? The front I understand, due to the Brembos.

So, if you just ran the Slipstreams in the rear at the +40 it will overlay like this Vs my setup. This will certainly be no problem with the outboard fit in the rear. No fender work required. Plenty of clearance!

I was concerned about the inboard side, but if this overlay is accurate, you should be clear of the lower trailing arm & the rear coilover

Let me know if you have questions / comments

^^^Re-doing calc using a 255/50/16

Not too much diff than the 26". The only issue is that these tires are really pinched on the narrow 7" wheel, but if the tire is meant for the low pressures of drag, maybe its OK

Fitment is not any different. See image below (just a tad wider)

I thought about the 7inch rim with that thick tire but yes it will only be used for drag. Hoosier recommends at a minimum an 8inch rim with that tire but your answer makes sense especially since the tire gets longer with speed. Thanks for all your help!!

Happy to help where i can. I was reluctant, at first, only due to the imperial tire size vs the metric but after converting it made sense

Would love to see pics of your EvO, including the engine bay. If you have a thread or YT Vid, let me know

Joe

Most excellent (you keep it very clean looking!)

The drag start is the shot for sure (deep squat) (saved that one for the work SS). No engine bay shots?

Anyway, 9.7 in the 1/4 is a real serious time (you must be north of 750 Mustang WHP?)

I added the engine bay pic to the original thread. The car made 803 maxed out at 50psi on a dynojet, It was turned down for obvious reasons. If I had to guess it's probably between 750-780 right now.

Before I go digging through 260+ pages of posts.... Would anyone happen to remember if someone has tried an 18x10.5 +30 NT-03 on a CT9a?
