I am going to test fit some 17x9 +45 RPF1s on my car over the weekend. We will see how big of a spacer it will take to clear the calipers up front! I dont think its going to be a very good outcome though. At least I will be able to contribute something to this thread.

Yeah, thats a tough one at the +45. Very likely will have issues in the rear contacting the rear lower control arm
The proven RPF1 recipe is usually the 17x9.5 +38 w/a 20mm spacer up front. They just look excellent at this spec

really I'm just trying to grab something, stock rims shot and i want to get car back on road and will get stock size 17X8 with 235/45s if i have to and plus konigs are cheap and the rate I've gone through rims in terrible NY roads might be best bet.

That Konig 17x9 +40 will fit in the rear, no problem (although you may be getting the tire close to the lower control arm / check for that). Up front, likely a spacer will be needed. (thats the tough part). Unless you know of some information on others that have run that wheel, front fitment is going to be a test fit.
Might be better to just get a set of stockers & run those? (we know those fit haha)
These high positive offset wheels usually have very flat faces & dont look the best

so i'm currently running the ce28 18x9.5 +34s that I spent months searching for. I've also got ce28s in 18x9.5 +28 on the way. I'm going to look at the current set to see how much extra poke I can afford, but I think with ~-2 degrees of camber in the rear I'll just be clear of the fenders, which are rolled. I have not had to remove/relocate the rear bumper tab for the +34s, I will be surprised if I need to for the +28s.

Its going to be tight Sam. Im running both a +29 & a +30 set up on a 17x9 & 17x9.5 (not at the same time)
Im right at the edge of full, no rub fender clearance at -2° and with a rear pull & bumper bolt relocation. Im running a wide Fed 265/40 (it measures the same as a 275)
What tire?

I'm still not seeing how the bumper tab has to be removed, but once I get the car put together I'll take another look
