That is a perfect size for the EvO. My opinion is to find another wheel w/that same spec or in a 9" width but a diff spoke design

Im assuming there is no front spacer on this setup? Find another wheel & i will let you know what it takes to fit

A simple 255/35 or you can run a 265/35 tire. If you want a simple, inexpensive summer street tire ive been running Federal

Idk what size these are maybe someone else can chime in but the rota 16" wheel with 20mm spacers work. Its really, really close almost too close for comfort but I ran them at the drag strip yesterday without issues, from the wheels at least! Lol

I'm currently running the fd's off an rx7, it has more clearance then the rota slip stream but they are also 3lbs heavier from what I got on the scale. Fully mounted and balanced the rotas were 30.2lbs with used qtp slicks. The fd's with new slicks mounted and balanced were 33.3 lbs each. Not bad compared to my traklites 18's mounted and balanced with Yokohama advans 245/40's weighing in at 44.3 lbs a piece. I know the fd's are 16x8 not sure what spacing if some can chime in again lol

Head hurts reading all the entries. I think I have it, but need confirmation. I am looking to purchase a set of 18s for my 04 evo 8. She is stock shocks, untouched fenders on 5Zigen Fn01 17x9, 255/40/17s.

Looking at the Advan RZ2's, and TC4s in 18x9 size....35 offset if i can find in stock. Hoping to run 255x40s, but I think 255/35/18s are tire choices.

Here is pic of my current wheels. Been on these since 2008!

I run some Advans RGII's & they fit great. Advans are one of the few wheels that have excellent spoke sweep so they tend to fit over the front Brembos (caution: not sure if these RZ2s will fit over the brakes)

Your idea of running the 18x9's w/the +35 is a very good choice & they will fit well. The 255/35 is really the go-to choice of tire but the 40 series look better IMO. I do recommend getting a rear fender roll as good insurance against any rub.

If you have any questions, let me know

Thank you for the quick reply. I will definitely do the 40 series since I will be ordering a fender roller today, add to the specialty tool collection.

I am going to email Mackin (?) Industry today and see if they have literature regarding RZ2 fitment over the Brembos.

Ok. So, I am seeing more 18x9.5 than 18x9 options for Advans. Would 9.5s also work without spacers? Still trying to stay close to stock offsets. I have found a couple of 18x9.5 at 38 offset. Will it still work, and clear stock suspension?

Theres no simple way to determine whether a wheel will fit over the Brembos. That area of the wheel where the caliper sits is called the X-Factor

Its basically following another build or doing a test fit yourself. Advans have traditionally been good about concave type spokes

Ok. Spoke with rep tech for place I am ordering from. Narrowed down to 3 (based off ease of availability)

1. Advan RZII, bronze 18x9 with 35 offset (255/40/18 Toyo Proxes T1 Sports)

2. Gram Lights 57CR, blue, 18x9.5 with 38 offset (same tire above)
3. Gram Light 57Extreme, blue 18x9.5 with 38 offset (same tire)

Rep is checking with Gram distributor if 2 and/or 3 will clear.

I really like #3, so anyone with Gram Light experience input welcome. I am concerned if it clears brakes, will the size/width interfere with suspension on i board side? Another option for Grams would be 8.5 width with same offsets.

If no clear answer, I will be ordering #1.
