Tire / Wheel Fitment Questions

I've done some research, but can't find much about fitment for a certain type of wheel...I currently have RPF1 17x9.5 +18, which are okay, but I'm getting tired of the look. I want to get CCW D110's, but not sure what the best diameter/width/offset would be to get a decent look sitting on the car. Currently, car is on BC coils. If anybody has some suggestions, I'd gladly like to hear them! Thanks.
Always been a fan of the RPF1 17's in that +18 offset (up front only!). Those CCW's are quite the show wheel. Heres an old For Sale thread that may give ya some ideas. Most CCW applications are for show only & proper, no rub fit is super tough & expensive

Ah thank you. The first thread seems a little iffy for me because fitting a 235 on a 10.5 seems like a very aggressive stretch, and I feel like you'd need a decent amount of camber to make those fit. I want the car to look great, but also don't want to kill myself if it becomes too much of a hassle. I was figuring maybe an 18x9, or 18x9.5, but not sure what offset would be best..and for tire setup I'm guessing either a 245/40, or 255/35?
- 18x9 +29 to +32 (255/35 or 255/40) 245's ok as well
- 18x9.5 +30 to +35 (255/35 or 255/40)

Cant assist w/the spacer question as there is no simple way to determine whether a particular spoke & hub design will clear the front calipers
Regarding the size; 18x8.5 +35, that is very modest & is almost identical to the EvOX wheel which fits the CT9A body w/out issue. This will fit the stock body CT9A rear w/out issue unless an extreme tire size is used

Sure, that is actually a nice size wheel. Not too aggressive. I run a similar size (17x9 +30 running 275's). You will need a rear fender roll at the minimum for sure! Should have plenty of room to the coilovers @Eruchavez
Cool, just ordered the tires!
Wow, how did you make those 275's fit lol!

Since it's a new wheel and the fear of being the first one to attempt it, I found a decent wheel on TireRack's website, they're light enough at 20.65lbs and seem like the cheapest reputable 18x9.5 wheel that aren't Konigs or Enkeis.
I'm just not sure if it'll fit on my Evo IX without at least a 10mm spacer up front and possible fender rolls front and rear due to the +35 offset. I would run the Azenis RT615K in 265/35/18 ($155/each) paired with them. On a similar note, this is my other option I was kicking around below. I figured the 18x9.5 +25 Hypergrams fit without issues, so the 10.5s could fit with a 10mm spacer.
Also more of a Motorsports question, but will the difference between a 265/35/18 18x9.5 and a 255/40/17 17x9.5 be dramatic in terms of grip/handling? The price for a set of 200TW tires goes up 30-35% on average for the extra 10mm.
It doesn't seem worth going up to 18s on these cars unless need it to run a BBK or you're going straight to a 275/35/18 or wider, at which point you'd need to really roll the fenders (or do the EvoDave front fender mod too), add negative camber, shave down the trailing arm casting flash, and either add spacers or do other things (massaging inner fenders, relocating rear bumper tab).

I got a question after doing lots of searching I bought a set of te37 sagas in 18x9.5 +38 vivid racing said they’d fit perfectly, but while looking for tires, I was talking to fitment industries they said they won’t fit, looking at volks site it doesn’t look like they will clear the calipers, but they will clear a x’s. So I called vivid and they still say they will fit just fine, I don’t have the car right now to check, can anyone answer for certain if they will work or if I’m going to have to sell them

Yeah I’m going to have to test fit kinda dreading it though, the thought of wasting all that money lol. But here’s another question if they will work for a evo x, and the x ha bigger calipers why wouldn’t they fit over an 8?

If they fit on the X then surely they should fit on other Evos. Stock X and CT9A wheels also have et38, so it's not just the offset but the shape of the spokes. If they curve out a lot then most likely they should clear the brembos. Usually et30-35 would also clear the fenders without any rolling or fender mods.
