Tire / Wheel Fitment Questions

Just for ***** and giggles my buddy put the 17x10 with 255 and this is how the look. These are with the +35 offset i believe. So well need 20mm spacers in front. Tires are 888r

The outside tire fitment isn't a problem with 10" wide +38 wheels. Clearance to the rear trailing arm is the problem.
The wheel and tire will flex inward under cornering, so you need more than a few mm of clearance at static height.
You might be able to make it work with a 5-7mm spacer in the rear, aggressive camber, zero toe or minor toe-out, and a 255 tire.

BTW, they do look cool for sure. Im a fan of Enkei wheels in general, but really like the RPF1's for sure

Not sure if Enkei makes the 17x10 in a +35. I only see the +38. As noted, if the offset is the +38, the lower arms will likely be needed. Also, if you go by the books, the min tire width is the 255 & and max is a 285. Your ride height is very high so checking for rub is difficult. You would really need to remove the rear strut, disconnect the rear sway bar link & then you can push the wheel far up into the well & check for rub.

Just thought I'd give you guys a little update. So the 888s 255 fit perfect on the 17x10 wheel. I figured it would be stretched but it's almost flush. The wheel/tire barely clears the rear trailing arm so we may have to just shave the tire. Maybe add a small spacer. Probably have to get the rears rolled and add just a tad of camber.

Some pics of the inner wheel clearance to the trailing arm would be great

I'm looking at a set of Enkei PF07's for my Evo IV.
Stock Evo IV wheels are 16x6.5" ET46, but the new set of wheels are 17x7" ET48.
I'm mainly worried about the offset since I'm not too familiar with it.
I have stock everything on my car.
Does anyone know if these would fit?

I am not familiar w/the EvO4 rear arches but your new size of 17x7 +48 is very close to the stock setting of 16x6.5 +46. The new wheel is only 2mm further inboard than the stock wheel & depending on your tire choice shouldnt be an issue.

Im not too sure about the distance I’ll have to check. Do you think an offset of +38 would be better?

This should help you see the differences. I did 2 layouts for you
- Stock vs the +38 wheel (wheel will poke 14.4 mm from stock)
- Stock vs the +48 wheel (wheel will poke 4.3 mm from stock & will inset 8.3mm closer to the strut)
