If you're in London, call Unit 8, they know their stuff. www.unit-8.co.uk

i just went to check out the SSR wheels, I didn't realize they had added more wheels! the Type F's are killer on that Evo X it's so exciting. I wonder if they will fit the Evo 8 or 9's? Sorry just excited no time to look at sizing.

I'd suggest you call Robert @ Robispec as he has done wheels with similar dimensions numerous times. You may even be able to have him do it for on his next trip to your area.

If by "with no problems" you mean "with a 12-15mm spacer" the answer is ... probably, but the RPF1 looks odd in high-offset fitments. The spokes have a funky curve to them and it will make your car look like a front-drive base Lancer. There are a lot of fitments that work without a spacer, I'd look at those first.

a question for jbrown/speedelement (who appear to be the wheel gurus!)
I'm looking to run 285/30/18 R compund rubber (either Hoosiers or Yoko A048s) and would like to know if you guys could help me with a list of possible wheel options that would allow these to clear the stock bodywork.
I run KW V3s, have the rear fenders roleld and pulled and run '1.8 camber rear, -3 front.
Hope you can help - I know that the ideal rim size would be an 18x9.5 or 18x10 but the brands and offsets that would allow this are totally confusing to me even after some heavy searching.
Thanks if you can help!

Any wheel that can hold that much rubber is gonna require some modification to the body. Robispec does it on the inside so you don't need wider fenders or a widebody kit.
You can also look into the superlight (16.1lbs) Buddy Club P1QF in 18x10 +35mm. It will probably need a small 5-10mm spacer up front and some fenderwell mods too. I run the 17x9 +28mm without spacers on a 255/40/17 and am very happy with them.
You might want to pm nils or Robi as they both have more experience than me in this area.

Thanks for the tips, jbrown
I'm not averse to hammering the fender wells in at all - in fact I've already removed most of the inner fender liners already in the front due to rubbing issues.
Excellent tip on the Budy Club P1QFs - never imagined I could run big AND lightweight at the same time! If you're confident a +35 offset would fit under there then I may well bite the bullet on those...not cheap but good stuff never is it seems (when it comes to rolling stock at least).
Will also check with Nils and Robi...I think Nils runs some big Enkei NT03s...not sure of the offset or tire...
Thanks!

Couldn't find it listed anywhere in this thread.
I'm looking to get Advan RS, I have stock Bilstein struts with HKS Kansai springs and my tyres are 245/40/18.
I want to know what size rim and offset will make the best fit, preferably without rolling the rear guards or changing my tyres.
I was looking at 18x9 +29, but I've seen people have trouble with a 245/40/18 tyre.
So, maybe 18x8.5 +30? Suggestions?

18 x 8.5 +30 is like a drunk fat chick ... a sure thing
18 x 9 +29 is like the flirty hot chick ... a little bit of work (rolled rear fenders), but totally worth it (seriously concave).
235/40 is a good size if you want to take the easy way out, works on the 9" too.
255/35 is good on a 9" but like the flirty hot chick, your choices are slimmer. It's very close to the stock tire diameter, but a tight squeeze even with rolled rear fenders.
245/40 is a bit taller than stock, but it may clear the fenders better because it's narrower. Not as common a size over here, so I can't say how well it will work.
