^Both would need extreme fender work.

Hikaru - I decided to go with the 5zigen 17x10 +35 - do you think they'll fit the Evo IX. I know i'll have to do fender rolling (big time) but they shouldn't stick out much right?
what about clearing the brembos... would I need spacers?

Thanks a lot bro

You'll prolly need fender pulling man. +15 is just too low I think. Anything from about +29 to +35 you should be fine depending on how low you are.

I've been trying to get the same set up man... and from everything that I've read and from everything that everyone has told me the 17x10 +15 or +25 will not fit unless you do some major work on the fenders...

Alright - Finally decided to go with the 5zigen FN01R-C 17x10 +25 all around - They do clear the Brembos and they will come out of the fenders a bit but with some fender rolling and pulling & some cambering I'll make it work in the stock EVO IX - on Tein springs & 245/45/17 RE01Rs tires

would a 235/45R 17 be too small for a 17x9 +29 wheel?

No, I have 235/45R17 tires on my 17x9 wheels. (Dunlop Direzza Sport Z1 Star Spec tires on FN01R-C wheels.)

Works great.

I probably wouldn't, but my situation is different...

I had 17x9 wheels which I bought years ago for race rubber (autocross). I've since retired the Evo from autocross, but kept the wheels. Then when I damaged one of my 17x8 daily driver wheels (with stock size tires), rather than replace/repair it, I just switched to the 17x9 wheels.
