I run Buddy Club QF's that are 17x9 +28 with 255 NT05s. With less than -1.5 camber in the rear I rubbed. I partially rolled the rears (didn't fold the lip all the way up) and now have about 5mm worth of clearance and I dont rub being pretty low with -1.5 camber. In the front at full lock I will barely rub the fender liner. Sharp turns with big dips I will rub the fender liners in the front also. When I had my corner balancing done my car was set lower than I wanted though...iirc it's 13.5in from hub to fender which is maybe a 1 finger gap. I'd say if you aren't super low you wont rub at all with the right amount of camber.

I run a 17x9 35 offset with a 255/40/17 for summer on swift sport springs and it only slightly rubs on the front inner fender when turned all the way left or right. No rubbing in rear.

If you went with a different offset you won't have to roll the rear.

Go +29....+35 looks kinda weak if you have any camber whatsoever.

Quick question...wheel fitment

Will a 18x9.5 rota grid offset of 20 fit on a evo 8? If so what is required? My car is lowered with coilovers.

Thanks. I searched for over a hour on my I phone with no luck.

17x7.5 Rota Torque

I just bought a set of 17x7.5 Rota Torque's (5x114.3/45mm off set/Hub bore 73mm). Will there be any caliper clearance issues? I heard that 17x7 clear calipers by about a mm or so. And is 245/45 tires better in overal handling and comfort over 235/40 or 235/45's. Thx

At +20, the fronts should clear the caliper no problem.

Stick with a 235/45 as even though it would work, 7.5 is a bit thin for a 245. If you want tighter handling, you should be going with wheels that are wider than stock, not narrower.

And with that Honda-like 45mm offset you are probably going to want a 15-20mm spacer to avoid the sunken battleship (aka "Stock Toyota") look. You'll need a spacer with built-in studs since your stock ones will be too short.

But really you should have bought a different size wheel. 17x8+32 or 17x9+35 would be far more suitable for an Evo8 or 9.

Info love

Hey thanks for that 17x7.5 fitment info. Any brand of spacers are good? Which tire do you guys think are better? Bridgestone or Yokohama? Hankook's or Khumo's? I'll take all opinions thx.
