Volk CE28 18 X 9.5 +28 Fitment????
Hey all,
Yes I read through the forums and searched but have been left a little bit confused. Wanted to see if any of you out there are running this set-up and what you did to get fitment (ex. tire size, space front, camber, roll etc). Would like to run an aggressive set-up in a 265/35-18, but don't know if it would be better just to run a 245 or 255? Car is on '03 VIII lowered on Cusco Zero-2rs. Obviously will need to roll rear fenders, etc. but looking for some pointers from people who have been there. Thanks ahead of time.

Your in luck. I just mounted up some of these! I checked the fitment last night on the inside of both the f/r. There's a good finger's length (easy 1/2 - 3/4") of room in the front by the coilover - and a little less in the rear by the A-arm. I think the +34 option might work out better - it should have plenty of room in the insides (6mm = 1/4") and also help tuck up into the fender wells under compression assuming the car is lowered and all on coilovers.
18x9.5" +28 Volk LE28 with 275/35-18 Hoosier R6's. Note that Hoosiers run wider than any street tire.
....Wanted to post my new setup that I just test fitted this weekend. Not sure about the fitment yet or if the offset is the best way to go. I have the rear fenders rolled even (not lipped out or anything). I haven't checked compression yet either. And yeah...the car is dirty from being hauled on the trailor!

I'm also a little curious about he lugnuts. I'm not running spacers or anything, just put on what came with the rims which are an open-style lug - Muteki. Is this how they should look cone torqued down?

Basically you can get away with the 265 fitment in the rear but you may rub on one of the rear bumper bolts. If you run a 255 tire only minor rolling will be needed. Don't run a 245 or it will look stretched. I run 9.5 +28's on a 255 tire and I just shaved 1/8th" off my rear with zero issues.

I just threw these on over the weekend exact rim your looking for wrapped in 265/35/18. I'm dropped on megan track coilovers. The tire is exactly flush with the rear fender and will require rolling on a 265 tire. I would also recommend rolling on a 255 tire also just in case. The fronts didn't seem like they needed rolling but I just might roll then just in case.

THANK YOU ALL!!!!! I think for my first go around I'm gonna go with RT-615s in a 255/40-18 to see where I'm at. When it comes time to replace them I see about upgrading to the 265s. Again, thanks for all the info, PMs, & pictures.

^^ I had 265's, rear rolled. The bolts that holds the rear quarter panel and the bumper rubs a bit, but not much. It's a major work to move that bolt back an inch or more according to the body shop that I went to not to mention $$. I switched to 255's, no rubbing whatsoever. Hope this helps.

Are you running 255/40s or 255/35s?

I do want to add something about fitment on these 18x9.5" +28 Volks.
No spacers needed to mount these up. They absolutely clear the brembo's up front! I haven't drove the car on the street or track with this setup yet though. I did test the turning radius in the garage right-to-left and it looks like a 275 will rub the fender wells in both directions sadly...
I don't think the +34 option clears the brembo's up front w/o a small 5-6mm spacer. The rear would sit in a little better with the higher offset and not require as much rear fender work. So...pick your poison if you're wanting to run something like a 265 or larger.
