Hey guys I just got another evo That im building Im looking at getting nt03 18x9.5 The car is sitting on coilovers pretty much slammed Im wondering what offset I should go with +27 or +40 or both +27F +40R.. I email robispec and havnt heard anything back yet im looking to buy these asap.. Ive been searching around and havnt found anything that great to go by. I plan on running 255-35-18 I would like to keep the car low and not do as much rolling as possible if anything Id like to cut the rear fender out without pulling it and run a lil neg camber in the front but lil as possible.. If anyone can help me out that would be great also if you can post pics of your setup .

Havnt bought any wheels yet because I'm not certain what could be the most aggressive but least work needed on an Evo 9, other than coilovers, camber kits, and fender rolling.

Running +27 all around, or +40 all around is ideal becasue it allows you to rotate tires at any given time. Both has it's downfalls however.

With +27, the rear fender will need to be rolled. I believe the maximum tire choice is a 255, which fits your bill. The front will still rub slight at full lock.

With +40, the rears will fit perfectly, and you can run up to 285s with a slight roll. I don't remember if you need to roll the rear fenders, but I would think it comes down to your tire choice. The fronts would require a 25mm spacer, and fenderwork, again depending on tire choice. 285 will require massive work.

Robi's advice on the staggered offset is fine, but you will not be able to rotate the wheels unless the tires are dismounted.

go with what chu said, he knows his stuff.

robi tends to (at least when we talked) run the staggered set up as its better for track so you can run as little or no spacer as possible all around, and fit the biggest tire under every corner. it really is ideal if your looking for the all around best handling/fitting combo. but like chu said, the downside is you cannot rotate your tires, and getting them dismounted constantly is a pain and expensive.

it all depends on what you want, however. track only, or dd, or both? this will influence your decision.

yeah I think im going do the staggered setup just because rotating is no biggy my buddies work at a tire dealer so mounting and dismounting is free for me lol.

Im currently running 17*9" +30 with a 255/40R17 Toyo R888 Semi Slick and im getting rubbing in the rear. The 255/40R17 has a larger rolling diameter then a 265/35..

Im looking into either a 18*9.5" +34 with a 15mm spacer on the front, or a set of 18*9.5" +28. With 265/35R18 semis

found a great deal on a pair of NTO3 enkies with nto5 tires, but will they fit.

have swift springs on the car 1.5 drop in front and 1.0 drop in back

wheels- 18 x 9.5 + 27

tire- nitto nto5 275 35 18

can i get these to fit. thanks

woah. i've never seen that specific setup, but others here might've. I'm sure you could do it without rubbing because the swifts don't drop you low. I'm running 265/35/18 on NT555's on 18x9.5 +34 CE28's. i even had the car with full adult passengers and wasn't rubbing. the swifts are very forgiving.

My friend has 18x9.5 +27 NT03s w/ 285/30/18 Hoosier A6s and they fit no problem. There's a little rubbing at full lock, but that's it.

Won't fit. +18 will stick waaaaay out. Unless you want a 4x4 ride height that is.

To get 18x10 under the stock fenders at all it'll take some work. You can do it with a 245 tire, but I think that negates the purpose personally. At a minimum you'll need lots of camber, rolled front and heavy rolled rear. Possibly a shorter spring up front on the suspension and a related rear fender bolt. Look it up; CCW has done it.

I'm considering a staggered setup:
18x10.5 +15 rpf1 up front. I've confirmed that it fits an VIII/IX w/ stock fenders and no spacers.

18x10 +38 or 18x9.5 +38 rpf1 rear. I know the 18x9.5 +38 will fit, so that's my safest bet, but I'd like to get the 18x10 to fit.

I'll be running stock fenders (rolled rears) all around w/ 285/30/18 Hoosier A6s (or Kumho v710s).

Thoughts?
