To answer the main question, it is really up to you to decide what your goals are for the car. Whatever size you go with or dont go with there will be sacrifices and consequences. For me the best size to go with would be something that doesnt require spacers or the need to roll fenders. With the advans something like a 17x9 +29 would fit the bill.

Remember wider equals the ability to mount a larger tire at the expense of more weight and potentially the chance that it will rub.

Here is a great sticky to refer to when looking for a winner:

sorry about that...

Yea, swifts Sports, -2 camber Front, -1.8 rear, zero toe.

All 4 fenders rolled flat and a 1/4 inch pulled in the rear.

Well your wrong about this.. tho oem brembos are good, but its till a certain level of power. I won't mention alcon brakes but other BBKs like AP, Rotora are worth the money. U can really feel the difference and bite when braking at high speed.

I'm already on brembos with upgraded 2pc rotors/pads/lines.. this is the minimal mod for everyone.

Just thinking for the future if I do upgrade to BBK, will my 17" RS fit

To everyone, spacers is a nono.. you will compromise safety at high speed!

Wrong. That is a fallacy. BBK will not magically make your car stop shorter or better.

That is a function of the pad material.

2pc rotor, ducts, proper pads will be cheaper, lighter, and stop better.

I'm in the process of putting this exact setup on my car. I'll let you know when it's done. I know The rears will need to be rolled, pulled a bit, and the bumper mount bolt will need to relocated for sure. Got Evodave fender brackets just in case for the front, not sure if they'll be needed with this.

Can't speak with certainty about caliper clearance, but fender-wise, you're in the clear with room to spare

Ya I mean a complete BBK kit of course, everything plays a part.. even the brake fluid!

I don't think 17x9 Advan RS wheels will clear BBKs. They're nice wheels though!
