Anyone know what the BEST offset is for a 18x8.5" wheel?

i want it to be tucked as good as possible, about as tucked as the stockers.

A +38 offset plenty high for that and still clear calipers?

Im looking into several dif wheels, one being the volk ce28n. how is the +40 offset on that wheel?

the higher the offset, the closer to the caliper, right? i always get this crap confused.

Ya. The higher +offset the more it will tuck in. I too like the tuck in look and was going for the ce28n +42. The only thing is that it all depends on the style/design of the rims. Because if you look at the stockers now (which is +35) you have alot of room to clear the Brembos because the style of the spokes is flat with no curves, just flat/straight. Now with the ce28s, since it curves in, I am not sure if the style will clear the Brembos with a +42 offset. That's why I stuck with +30 all around just to be safe. Don't want to spend a couple of grand and not have it fit.

Are 18x9's with a +30 offset going to fit neatly in the wheel well? I am thinking of some Volk Winnings in silver

I'm looking at some 18 x 9s that have a +44 offset, but come with a 5mm spacer so I take it that effectively reduces the offset to +39?

Anyone got any experience fitting SSW D5R's?

Bolt Pattern for EVO VI

Hello,

I am trying to find out what the bolt pattern is for an EVO VI (6). Also, has anyone here used stern wheels on their rides? www.sternwheels.com

I like the ST-2 Face II Touring Sport 18 x 8 but I don't know if it can fit my EVO. Any help guys... Thanks

Don't know if this is confirmed yet, but 18x8.5 volk ce28n wheels with a +30 offset fit great....no rubbing or fender rolling needed with 235/40 tires

summary of fitment

I summarized what I have found (mostly on this forum) and here are my conclusions:
* SHIFTING WHEELS OUT BY ~16mm AND IN BY ~17mm WITH 255/40/17 TIRES ALLOW ~1.5"/0.75" DROP (F/R) ...depending on spring stiffness
* With a big drop in the Rear, you may want to roll fender EVEN IF you haven't shifted out much
* If you drop 2" in Front, you want to watch out. See illegalakkord VS evo81 and 'ringmeister (note: illegalakkord and evo81 don't seem to agree, unless illegalakkord had it wrong and he was rubbing on the OUTside due to his larger shift OUT)

I have all the complete info in table form in Excel which exports well to .html, but not so well to .doc, but I will try to attach the .doc anyway since that appears to be my only option. (this is my first post here and first attachment anywhere, so here goes nothin... well it was too big, so I zipped it. Here goes nothin again)

How will a 245/45/18" Falken ST-115 fit on a 18X8.5" wheel with a 30mm offset? and a 18X8.5" wheel with 35mm offset?

You're not going to put that tire on an Evo unless you put a lift kit on it.

These rims fit nice! They are 18x8.5 with +35. I have them wrapped in 245/40/18 Toyo's.

Those are perfect. Where did you get them and how much? What Toyos are those? Do you know the weight of the wheel and tire combo? Your Evo looks great, nothing beats a clean black car.
