Continental tire extreme contact DWS, all weather advice wanted

http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tires....omCompare1=yes

I was looking on tire rack, and I wante a set of all weathers, because
I just blew 2 tires, front and back... These look pretty decent and the reviews seem good but honestly I trust evo owners, I am running aftermarket rims 255 35 r18 (yes I had to roll the fenders) I wanted to know if anyone had used these and what they thought of them.

Super popular tire. Probably the most used sport all season for an EVO. Call me if interested!

good all season if you arent an aggressive driver. snow and rain traction is quite good compared to the others, but handling feel is the worst in class when pushed.

What would you recommend if I am an agressive driver?

So what tires did you go with. I had a set of Conti DWS on my crossfire. It handle superb but this is an entirely different animal kinda like comparing a chimp to a silver back gorilla.

so far I've read these tires sidewall feels soft, but I think it depends on the size. The reviews I read online are based off all different size tires, 16", 17". comparing 205/60/16 to a 245/40/18 of course the 16" is going to have softer side wall.

I was looking to get all season tires for my EVO but one thing turned me away. In the description it says, "deliver wet road and light snow traction". The word being LIGHT. I ended up buying blizzaks and putting them on the stock rims. When summer comes I'm going to order a set of rims and tires for summer. I have the same setup on my wifes WRX and it works well.

Not sure if that will be a problem with you being in NJ. I live in SD so we can have a bad winter. When it snows the first thing I do is go driving and have a blast. I love snow, 95% because of my car/tire combo (5% because of free time off work)

bold part i can attest to that, but generally has been a good tire this winter season...great in light snow, however, it was nice to have this freaky blizzard we've here a couple weeks ago to test them out...obviously with > 6ins of snow, there was some slippage esp considering the trucks couldn't keep up with the snow...but other than that, I'm very happy with my buy, and will feel better when i decide to put my summers on mid July!
