Those wheels are like 20lbs for a 17...nice but heavy as hell. 5zigens are even lighter but have a weak +35 offset.

13.8lbs on my bathroom scale.

I have been running these rims in autox for about 5-6 years. I wouldn't recommend these rims for long track events, they are meant for that ultra quick qualifying lap.

why would you not want a super light rim like this for the track. i only see benefits of light weight wheels, speaking theoretically to my understanding, since i still use oem but am looking to buy

There's an article floating around from a few years back (I think it was from a Japanese magazine) where they did a track test comparing a lightweight wheel to a heavier racing wheel. The heavier wheel did better on the track because the lightweight wheel flexed so much that the weight savings were not worth it.

There is also the issue that a lighter weight wheel with less material will fatigue faster and end up cracking sooner. This is why the Buddyclub wheels have QF in the name, they're meant to get the most out of a short QualiFying session which typically only lasts a few laps.

This size is not shown on the website as a fitment option. I only see 8 or 8.5.
