Actually Ben still didnt respond to my PM yet but the info i got was through Garage-D which is related to driftworks who are the dealers for HSD.....

I still wanna believe that they are good coilovers that might need some spring rate adjusting since i couldnt find a single negative review on MLR.

I really shy away from any shop that specializes in drifting. Its the figure skating of the automotive racing world.

And I think they have done a pretty good job of that across most applications.
What in the world are you talking about? Any automotive engineer will tell you that rebound damping will have a bigger affect on ride quality than spring rate. Low cost coilovers don't have harsh rides because their springrates are too high.

"balanced spring rate kit". Nonsense. On the CT9A, the front motion ratio is 0.98 and the rear is 0.73. With the _same_ springs front and rear, the rear wheelrate is much softer. Tuner shop hacks will look at the weight distribution (60F 40R) and tell you that that should be the spring rate ratio. Wrong. The geometry is different.

based on your original post. These coilovers are for you.

I say try them. or go with a high end coilover, there are no shortage of options open to you. Find the one that suits your needs.

Sweet! Ive been trying to find someone with a brain to post the MR.. I had a sneaking suspicion the numbers I found were erroneous ( 1.0 front/ 0.64 Rear ).

If you lived closer Id buy you a and probably a lap dance .

PS, Pretty much everyone here who has spend the last decade screwing with suspension will agree with everything Donour is saying here. Only time going stiffer in the front vs rear will be faster is when you have completely uncontrollable front roll and are loosing grip based on camber loss. All these coilovers are in the range of being stiff enough to have proper spring rate balance its just the manufacturers have no clue nor care to make them right. Its all about hype and selling product in this region.

Great info guys really appreciated

I've always wanted to get the Bilstiens but their price+shipping to Jordan is a killer. Hope Andrew would be able to help in that area

so far am convinced that bilstiens + swift spec-r/GTworx r the way to go, but will keep looking for info about the HSDs.

Don't take my word for it. Crawl under there with a tape measure and verify.

Let me chime in on the HSDs for a EVO X.
Last year I needed a quick solution for dropping my car and getting added camber at the same time, and HSD ( made in Korea BTW) was available for a very reasonable price.

I wasn't expecting anything great, because the cost was really inexpensive.

Well let me say that after 1 full summer of use, which includes 10,000km of daily driving, 8 track days and 4 Time attack competition ( on streets and Hoosiers)- I was truly impressed.

Now obviously I want more spring ideally for track days, but the balance was pretty good. I have no other mods on the car suspension wise- just the HSDs.

This year I am going to KW Clubsports, as I intended originally, but I have no regrets with the choice of HSD last year.

I do recommend them for those who are on a budget and want street and track flexibility.

Oh, yeah after all that abuse, the dampers are still pristine with no signs of premature wear.

I just picked up a set of HSD's for my evo8. From what I have researched these coilovers come out of Korea like stated before. HSD manufactures the suspension for the Hyundai Genesis. Quality looks to be pretty good for a low end coilover. I dont plan on tracking my car. Might do a few autocrosses and some spirited backroad driving. My freind has had these coilovers on his STi for a full season now and is very happy with them. They arent overly harsh for daily driving and are holding up very well. If I had the money I would have loved to purchase some higher end suspension but for now these should be just fine. I will post a review as soon as weather permits.

In for results, I can't imagine a lower springrate in the rear would do anything but promote more understeer.

ok ppl, HSD offered to increase the rear spring rate with proper matched damping

so front will be 9K, and rear will be 11k.....What do u guys think???? the guys agreed that this setup would be really perfect for an AutoX car.
