They no longer make the RT-615, replaced with the rt-615K, but for the price they were going for i couldnt pass them up for my GTO.

They are amazing tires for the price, really responsive and sticky in the turns, and yet they hook amazing from a dig as well, on the street 3k near dumps resulted in a chirp and fly, and first time at a drag strip with the car i was pulling consitent 2.0 60 foots.

Also the rain traction they provide is simply astonishing, especially breaking, i was nearly put into my steering wheel a few times lol

If the new ones which are supposedly better in every way ever come down in price they are a great alternative IMO simply because of the price.

i cant speak for the mich tires. but the star specs. i am running. they are 275/35/18's awsome tire. but dont dd them. they will wear very very fast. lets just say i put them on in july '10, and by july '11 i will need to replace them and havnt had time to even get to a road course or auto x yet.

Wow, I have been dd my star specs for 8 months, 1 full season of autox, and one trackday. And my tread is at 5mm.

Dunlop is what I buy... It soft but grips like crazy..
