stance coilovers with swift spring upgrade
#2
I know two of my friends tracked quite heavily on the gr+ pro (evo ix mr, and 700hp sti). They both handled well and can take the abuse. The STi eventually changed to RCE KWs, but the evo is still on the gr+ pro. For DD and track use stance is more than enough. Most people here will tell you to go Robispec KWs, hell I would if I had the money, but I just wouldn't use them to the full potential so I don't see a point for me. Anyways, thats just me. But in short, I'm sure that combination will live up to your expectations.

the reason I asked this was because I have the stance gr+ with 9k/10k. The coilovers are very well made (they do have the brake line bracket now). Since I installed them they are too stiff for DD on my horrible WV roads, even on full soft. I decided to try to upgrade to the swift springs which are under $400. I was still skeptical but I thought I would give em a go. I worked 36 hrs over the last three days but decided to change out the fronts when I got home. All I can say is WOW. I cant wait to change out the back tomorrow. After I'm done I will give a complete review.

guess I got called out Ok, so after changing out the rears to 8k swifts (following the +/- 2k rule I have come to realize that the gr+ are over dampened for DD on harsh roads. Still to bouncy, in the rear especially. I have since reinstalled the bilsteins with tein springs in the rear and left the stance on the front (decent ride). I've emailed stance to check on revalving the struts but I haven't gotten a reply yet. I'm hearing great stuff about the stance LX, which I should have gone with, but I was planning on hitting the track a good bit this summer (first time) and I wanted to stay with the reverse monotube with the larger diameter piston. All I can really say right now is that I drive on some really s**tty roads and I haven't got it right yet. I'm not giving up just yet. I believe with the right valving I can make these a good DD coilover. Now with that said I by no means have any idea what I'm doing (suspension is not a strong point). I'm used to just throwing on some good springs and being cool with that. Living in WV, there aren't any quality suspension shops around. Hell, I'm lucky when I can get an alignment without getting s**t for the car being too low (which its not). This is all opinion so please for all of you who want to say I should have just gotten the swift lowering springs; don't. I hate wheel gap.
