What tires fit 18x9.5 wheels?

I have a set of toyo proxies4 215x35x18 that have been offered to make up for a bad deal w/ bent wheels.

Will they fit a 18x9.5 +20 wheel? Or should I not even bother?

On my 18x9.5 wheels, I have have 255/35/18 and they fit well. I think you would be stretching your tires big time. I wouldnt even go 215's on a stock 8 inch wide wheel.

I have a 235/40/18 on a 18x9.5 and that is the most stretch I am comfortable with, but it depends on the tire, some run wider than others in the same size. I'm using Hankook Evo V12's and the rim width range is 8.0-9.5 so check the manufacturer specs on each tire you are considering. I wouldn't go lower than a 235 since that is the stock tire width.

Tirerack aslo isn't allowed to stretch tires. That is a company policy. That is prob why they don't "rec" anything smaller than a 245 because anything smaller they won't put on. I know a few people with 215s and 225s on 9.5.

Personally my Grids are going to have 245s becuase I have brand new 245s I need to use up. After that they will get 275 or 285s.

I am all for stretching tires...just like I am all for Darwinist actions. You want to kill yourself. By all means; thin out the stupid from the population.

I suppose I could lend an answer

9.5in rim is 241mm. 245 is the narrowest to run. 255+ is a better fit.

Mike, what is the largerest tire we can fit on a 9.5 wheel and still be able to fit in the fenders? I'm rolling all around and pulling the rear. I expect I'll run a 3mm spacer up front for my +20 offest Grids.

275/35R18 or 285/35R18 (thats pretty big). Render rolling / pulling likely.
