belstein with swift vs. kyb with swift

I want to get some people's experience or take on this. I have a chance of getting a set of belsteins which i want to pair with swift swprings. I currently have the oem kybs which i am also thinking of pairing with the swifts. Now for comfort, which one would be a good combo?? If kyb and swift is comfy i can save the money and buy some other part instead of belsteins.

How do you guys like the kyb swift combo?
Are belsteins ALL that, like everyone makes it seem?
Whcih combo do you guys think I should go for?

I want the car to be a little low, yet comfy in a sense of trips or being able to drink a coffe without spilling it. The oem KYBs and oem springs have waaay to much hop.

I have bilstein HD struts with swift spec r springs and I love how the car handles. I would say that after driving with these and driving in my buddies car with stock struts and tien springs that I like how my car handles alot better. Never driven a car with the kybs and swifts. Car gets lowered 1.3 in the front and 0.8 in the rear, just enough to make the car look good but not too low to the point where you lose the handling potential of the car.

I see plenty of people who choose to run bilstiens and swift springs over anything else. Seems alot of people prefer them to certain lower end coilovers also.

If interested I am selling my suspension. Looking for 750 obo shipped. Let me know. Will throw in a spare front Bilstien HD shock for right price.

Good luck with your decision on your suspension setup!

thanks for the offer but lets just say i am getting the belsteins fro 1/3 of your price , with around 30k miles on them....thanks for the input though. I want the comfort on the car as i daily drive it in summer, but hate the look of how high my front end is. I am leaning pretty hard towards the bilstein/swift combo though.

i put my spec r's on with stock struts then switched to bilstein hd's. handling wise, the kyb's felt just as good. the bilsteins ride a LOT better though. when i say a lot, i mean it. my butt dyno is weak and i dont notice much unless its pretty dramatic.

if you have the cash i would send them to bilstein and get them revalved and rebuilt for the new springs. its around $75 each strut and they are as good as new.

if you send them in, get the final spring rate and let them know so they can tune them the struts to the springs.

Are the HD Bilsteins any different than the MR Bilsteins?
