Where to get Hankook R-S3 255/40/17

Unfortunately all the places I know show them as special order. Is anybody aware where those are in stock or what are the expectations regarding the availability of them?

The rebate is not applicable in my case. First set I got this spring was in stock and I got them quite fast from Tirerack, luckily I placed the order in time.

As of now those tires are getting closer to their end and I'm trying to make sure I'll be ready once they will be completely destroyed. I do realize Z1* are good alternative (I've used them last year, and the year before, though in 235/45/17 and 245/40/17 sizes), but so far I prefer R-S3 in terms of grip (doesn't mean R-S3 is better tire overall).

Thanks for all the inputs so far!

If there is any place with those in stock - would be happy to know.

Neal, it is too sad, cause actually it means that those are not applicable for me this season.

Correct. To take advantage of a rebate tires have to be purchased from in stock inventory and ship before the rebate ends. I highly doubt that would happen in this case.

Yeah totally agree. Many are bummed they probably won't get to use this season.

This is the second time this year that I know of these tires have gone on back order. Back in late march and early April it was the same story. Great tire, but hankook needs to get some more molds going and have a supply set up at the beginning of the racing season for all sizes. Poor form.
