Wearever Ceramic Pads
So I've been looking at all sorts of pads for my car. Im looking for a solid performing DD pad that's not going to cost me $250 every break job.
I found some Wearever Ceramic pads at advanced and wanted to see if any on has used them and what they thought about how they performed.
If all else fails it will be EBC Redstuff for me!!
Thanks

RacingBrake ET500s, Axxis Ultimates, Satisfied GS5s, etc etc etc. This has been covered before.

I've also been running Axxis Ultimates for the past couple years. They're a good performing DD pad (in my opinion) that isn't too expensive. Just be prepared to clean your wheels every week from the massive brake dust that it produces and excruciating squealing when coming to a stop. In the past, I've done everything to try to stop the squealing, but it won't go away. I've learned to deal with it for now until these wear out and it's time for new pads again.
I'd look into Girodisc Magic Pads. Seen some good reviews for them a while back.

I've descided to go with the EBC RedStuff pads!

I'm actually running Wearever Ceramic on my car now.
Pros: Ultra, ultra low dust. I can drive my car for a month and the wheels barely look dirty.
Super quiet.
Con: I think bite has suffered.
Brake pads are a subject I know very little about. I can't recall, but I think the stock pads had a lot more bite v/s pedal pressure. But it's been so long that I can't really remember.
I drove my friends S4 the other day and DAMN! Those brakes has crazy bite for very little pedal pressure I applied. This is what I'm looking for out of a street pad. I never intend to use the car for racing/track purposes.
I'm looking for the most bite from a street pad.
I'm just afraid of installing the EBC Reds, which are also a ceramic pad, and be right where I am now.
Now, doing a 70-0 threshold brake, requires a lot of pressure.
Fluid is Valvoline Synpower, 11mo. old.

Um if people are still recommending the Racing Brake ET's then a lot of those review posts need to be updated.
These brakes squeal LOUD. And are directly affected by weather temps changes and heating up from aggressive braking. Also when they heat up sometimes from just 1 aggressive braking, it kind of feels like they start losing braking grip. So A BIG NEGATIVE TO all Racing Brake ET500!
