XXR 527's
Hey,
Seen a few more evo's with xxr wheels rollin around and was wondering if they are any good? Like, has anyone on here had them on their car? And if so, how'd they hold up? Any problems cracking, chipping, losing air?
I think they look really good! A lot of people hate saying that they are cheap wheels, and they are money wise, but people also say the same thing about rota's. And pro cars use and abuse rota's so i dont really care about someones personal standards. Just wanna know if the xxr's will hold up.
!!PLEASE!! Lets not turn this into a discussion of what you think "real" wheels are... just looking for some feedback from actual owners of the wheels
Here's a pic of how the 527's look on evo. wheels in pic are 18x9.75 +20. tires are 255/35. no spacers and only need to roll rear fender. SICK!!
Theres a guy selling some right now. its his car in the pic. his thread

I just ordered the XXR 522's for my X . I'll post some pics up when I get them installed. I've only heard good things about XXR's. Yea they're cheap but who cares what other people think. Your money, your EVO. Do what you want

Sooo I'm a bit impulsive and called a local shop. Looks like I'll be getting a set on Thursday!
I figure why not? It's one hell of a deal. Four rims for $460!! lol
I'll let you guys know how it goes and post a pic or two.

I don't use mine for the track I just use em for daily driving. Anywho so far no paint chips. Ive had them for about 3 months.
I get A LOT of compliments on my car, and even more on the wheels. School parking patrol stops me, motorcycle dudes pass tell me they like the car, thumbs up from motorist when I'm mobbing the streets and highway. I hear valet guys talk about the car as I pay them $ for self parking @ the club, I really think its the wheels.
