What should I go with?

I am buying new tires soon, and I am not sure what I want to get so I figured I would get some ideas from fellow evo owners.

I have the Michelin Pilot Ps2 on there now, and I love these tires, however it's 1,100 bucks for new ones to be put on! So what do you guys suggest?

Thanks.

Hankook v12's and BFG Gforce Sports are both good choices for tires. However, there has been a strong consensus here that the Dunlop Direzza Sport Z1's are one of the best tires available, in terms of sheer grip and steering response.

Hankook V12's are pretty nice for DD duty. I've had them on for around 5k miles and they haven't really shown much wear, even with 5 auto-x events on them. They are also pretty quiet. For the price, there's not much, if any, better unless you're looking for more performance.

RS3's or Star Spec's. RS3's will have better grip and be cheaper. Star Spec's have comparable grip but will last longer and cost a bit more. I believe the treadwear ratings are: RS3's--140 and Star Specs--200.

Guys, why are some of you recommending extreme-performance tires to someone who was happy with PS2s?

Hankook V12's make a great dd tire. Have had great luck with those thus far on EVO's. The Dunlop Z1 is always a crowd please as well if you want a tad more edge in the corners.

Thanks lol, I just need some good DD tires that won't get torn to hell after the first 1,000 miles.

I also used the Hankook Evo Ventus tires and found them a great tire for DD. For around $100 a tire, you can't go wrong
