Generic rotors.

Ok it's christmas and I need new rotors but $$ situation makes me hate myself. Damn you little tommy. Just bought the car and the rotors are warped. I drive to the city for work and braking on the highway isnt fun at all. Waiting for that hard stop cuz someone can't drive is makin me more nervous everyday. Statistics.

Enough rambling.

Anyone here use generic/eBay rotors? Any problems? I planned on getting f+r from mapperf. From forums but the 300$ for f+r, pads and free shipping is getting the best of me.

Although I'm still feeling ebays a bad idea and prob won't do it.

the centric premiums are pretty good, but i personally think its hard to beat the oem brembo rotors.

+1. Talk to Ken at KNSBrakes either online on PM him here on the forums.

But... a majority of people that think their rotors are warped - really aren't. A lot of times it's just a deposit built up and a few HARD braking stop cleans that stuff off. Give it a shot...

I wouls say Rotorpro's. Some guys here use them and they can be picked up cheap enough at MAP.

Or even the $200 all 4 rotor specials at girodisc.

if you are on a tight budget you may even try the generic centrics from KNS. I bought a set of those from them when I needed some rotors quickly for an autox I was planning to attend. I had plans to ditch them for a set of 2 piece rotors soon after that event, but after seeing how they were holding up just fine after some track days and autox, I decided to save my money for other stuff.

I am not saying I necessarliy recommend going cheap on rotors for a car that will see track days, but mine have been holding up like a champ. I honestly didnt expect them to hold up as well as they have.

+1 for centrics

I used them for my winter brakes and performance friction 2 piece for summer. They work great on road as much as I can tell. Never tried racing with them though.
