help brake line bent

help brake line bent

hi guys i was under my car today and noticed the brake line on the passenger side caliper was bent a little, its the one on the bottom of the brembo caliper only a couple inches long. does anyone know where i can buy one or do i have to make it?

Doubt very much you can buy one alone anywhere. If you feel it may be restricted you can try to make your own or have a reputable shop make one for you.

What about aftermarket brake lines? Maybe they'll fit a stock car.

those lines are to replace the rubber lines that go from the caliper to the wheel well. Your best bet would be to try to get a used caliper that needs rebuilding and rebuild it with that part. I know i've seen some toasted brembos on here from time to time that pretty much need everything done to them, that part should be ok though.

If you feel that the brake caliper is not performing correctly or bleeding your brake fluid is difficult then it would be a prudent choice replace the hard line. The cheapest way would probably be a used caliper.

Do not try to bend it back though because those hard lines have a small inner diameter and by bending even more it might make it worse.
