I rolled and pulled mine a little without any creasing. You just have to be slow and careful.
Camber doesn't kill a tire as fast as everyone thinks. It's toe that does. Ive been on the same tire for three full seasons with negative 3.25 in the front and negative 1.9 in the rear and I still has plenty of meat. All because I don't run any toe.

I'm on two sets
Both rims are 18X9.5
Hooiser 285/30 R18
Dunlop Star 275/35 R18
If you not fitting a big tire I would just roll the lip up. I have a friend on that exact tire size and offset with the lip just rolled up

You may want to consider shaving them instead of cutting them. People cut them just fine (CBRD off top of my head) but if you sand/shave with an orbital sander it will be safer and you will do a better (more controlled) job IMO. Mine are shaved all around, zero issues. I followed it up with some oem paint followed by some undercoating spray
