Stock Evo Brake Pad Life

Yes, I searched and didn't really find what I was looking for.

First, does anyone know what the average/expected life for stock brake pads are on the Evo?

Second, what are real-life experiences telling Evo drivers about their stock pads.

I'm aware of the pads being prone to squeaking, I've had similar before. And I'm not looking for a thread full of complaints. I've been a somewhat aggressive driver all of my life and have gotten plenty of miles out of stock pads in the past. I'm wondering if the braking setup on the Evo is such that it doesn't last as long as other sedans when other sedans are equivalently driven.

Thanks for your input all!

I am at 9200 miles and my brakes look great, but I do use heel and toe downshifting and braking methods very consitently. This may be why my brakes look great and I am putting in a new clutch next weekend........

I'm at 21K miles with my stock pads and they are still doing well. I do a lot of down shifting, but I'm usually rough on my brake pads in daily driving. Mind you I have not taken the car to the track or run it in an autoX, the most abuse they get are heavy mountain runs and slamming on the brakes to show how good they are to passengers.

I have 2 track events on my car with 8000 miles, brakes look OK, but I need to wear off the melted pad goo.

18k looked about 40% left but the second trackday killed 'em... total of 4 hours time (400 miles going home on the e-brake yikes!)
