Uneven Tire Wear, Weird
#46
i've never seen toe just in the middle before. which is y i didnt think it would be toe, but rather defect, but i assumed the OP had a printout of the alignment specs.. since the OP has finally stated that he does not have the alignment printout, that would be the first thing to check. this is weird, i really wanna know what the final consensus is.

Looking at those pics I would guess it was alignment issue vs a defective tire. I would check your suspension and make sure all your bushings and ball joints are ok.
A loose or worn suspension can do weird things like that to a tire. Raise the vehicle up and spin that tire too and make sure the tire isnt out of round or something weird like that.

Agreed its toe or a bad tire, leaning towards bad tire. Without alignment numbers it could go either way. Have them spin the tire on a wheel balancer too make sure the tire isnt doing anything funky while its spinning. Do you have a set of summer tires or just winter tires?
Edit: Looks like positive toe, note the inner edge flattness of the tire as compaired to the outter edge sharper corner where the sidewall and tread start.

Look at other DOT weeks on the tires. If all the same week; I doubt factory defect. Crown radius is set by the mold. If tire was too small then the overlay would have caused the tire to tighten up a lot in the curing stages.
Toe will eat a tire very fast. And not knowing what alignment it has...I'd like to see hard numbers before tires.
Don't know Kuhmos manufacturing process. If they scan their tread contours or uniformity screen their tires.

I agree. Hard numbers before tires / though I wouldn't rule that out either. OP needs to "current" alignment specs rather than shotgun diagnosis.
Did you find any places that will inspect the alignment for free/cheap?

Sorry for the delay. Department that usually evaluates these things has been tied up with getting our tire testing set up for the season.
Best we can say is an alignment issue, more than likely toe, with that back corner of the car.
