Track/Circuit Wheels for Evo V

Hi. I was wondering on what size of the wheels should be for an Evolution 5

17 or 18?

here are my options so far

Rota p45R

18x9.5 + 20 265/35 Tires

17x9 +25 255/40 Tires

Don't know much about the V's, but I prefer 17s due to budget constraints. 17 inch tires easily cost 300-400 less than a comparable 18 inch tire. 17s also typically weight less. Lightest and strongest within your budget constraint is what you should be looking for.

Dont know anything about the V but I run the following:

ROTA P45R 17x9.5 +30 w/ 275/40 on the street

ADVAN RGII 17x9 +29 w/245/45 on the track

Without serious gaurd mods the 265s won't fit without rubbing.

Even the 255s with that size and offset will rub a little bit depending on ride height and suspension stiffness.

I already rolled/Trim my bumper and fenders

my V sits 4 inches off the ground
