Measuring car rake

I've been looking around but I can't seem to find the answer.

Where you you actually measure you right height for raking? I mean it may sound stup!d if you start measuring it from the front or rear bumpers.

Might be a guess but do you start to measure it from the frame of the car where you put the jack stands?
