I was just curious what your setup was because you said you had success with it, an f430 on slicks is no joke! and because I'm losing sleep over which setup to go with, I just sent a set of MR bilsteins to get revalved for some spec R's. However now I think I want the fortune auto 510 with the Swift 8k/9k setup

listen to chu's advice. hes got good experience in the racing environment and can give you honest feedback on the tires.
i will preface my advice with i have not run any of the tires you mentioned. I have heard nothing but great reviews from my buddies who race NASA basically every weekend and WIN, but in e36 m3s.
i have the same wheels you do but in a +38 offset so i can run wider tires with less work. that being said, my rear fenders are chopped, not just rolled, so i have plenty of room.
i personally have always ran b-stones (re-01rs and re-11s on a buddies care) but have for the past two years been running star specs. i am not sure why they are not on your list since they are super affordable, and grip like crazy. the will let you know right when there about to break loose and even then its a controlled slide. i run the largest they offer in that size 265/40/17 and they measure out to be a 275 in other tire brands. so make sure you are aware of sizing and camber adjustments based in your suspension.
i will be ordering new tires soon and i will without question be getting another set of star specs. for the price its very hard to beat. the only downside is road noise on the highway, but it never bothered me and from the sound of it, that is your least of your concern. my vote is star specs #1 and rs3s # 2. gl on w/e option you choose.

I think I might try out 265/40/17 star specs this time. I still need to order my wheels. The +38 would make things easier for fit but I didn't want to run a spacer.

I'm trying to figure out if a 17x10 +38 would be a better fitting wheel for me better than a 17x9.5 +18 but I could use some advice. In the rear I will stick out 4mm less to the fender but 26mm closer to the coilover. Do I have the inner clearance for the ten inch wheel? Rpf1's are being used so a 20mm spacer in the front is required, correct? Will I have fitment issues in the front? Tire in mind is a 265/40 star spec or a 255/40 rs3. Should I just run a 17x9.5 +38 and spacers in the front? To add I am running -3f/-1.5r camber. I was gonna run -1.5f degree of camber in the front on the street.

^17x10 is going to require alot of work, which imo is not even worth the time an effort. 9.5 is plenty of wheel for a 265mm tire. If spacers is something you MUST avoid, look into a high +29 to mid +30 offset. There are few wheels out there that fit the Evo perfertly without the need for spacers...they're just more expensive. I run 17x9.5 +24 Advan TC-II with 255.40s on my car for track, and don't use spacers. I also run the RPF1 in 18x9.5 with 285.30.18 Hoosiers for autox. I don't think spacers are an issue at all if done correctly.
