Slightly off topic, but curious as to why you're interested in dropping star specs in favor of RS3's, heh I'm looking to do the opposite after my RS3's are done.

the only reason i went with rs3's really was because they are 150 bucks cheaper a set, and a lot of reading on track related forums was showing a lsight preference towards them over the dunlops. i definitely notices the dunlops getting greasy towards the end of my 3rd and fourth sessions whereas most people say that the rs3's will just get stickier and stickier...so we'll see.

it works perfect
its what i run on coilovers and my car is somewhat low almost tucking the rears
with continental dws it is a slight rub as they are wider than the dunlop dz101 i had previous
both in 255s and no fenderwork
rpf1 38mm with a 20mm spacer up front

interesting...i guess you really can be ok with 3mm difference. part of it might be that a 255 on a 9.5 wont have as sloppy a sidewall.

if it was going to rub i would have thought the compression of the uphill at lime rock would have certainly caused it.

i also wanted to add, i have hit big enough dips/bumps that have caused the tire to hit the FRONT fender egde once or twice.
