I just had a set of new Bilstein HD's installed on my Evo IX MR. I reused the factory MR springs.
The ride height is the same and the handling is amazing. They do feel a bit more springy than the stock setup, but it's a really small difference.

Hmm... I've been thinking quite a bit about selling my Bilstein/Spec-R setup for coilovers but this has me thinking. Your right about mid turn bumps, this setup does take it with very good responce. I don't have thicker sway bars yet so I was planning on buying front/rear bars, camber plates and lower control arms this winter or sell and just get a set of coilovers...Which way to go? ![Confused](https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/images/smilies/confused.gif)

You're on the right path upgrading both swaybars though

There are two reasons to keep your setup. 1, Its a daily driver or street car only. You wont see any of the benefits of coilovers on the streets on street tires. 2, You cant afford proper coilovers, not choose your color coilovers but something along the lines of AST, Ohlin, KWs, or maybe PSS9s (the last two arent nearly as friendly on the street).
